New wind farm in the Municipality of Kozani – See where

The Decentralized Administration of Epirus – Western Macedonia approved the approval of environmental conditions for the construction and operation of a 17.1MW wind farm and the accompanying projects, in the location “VRACHOS I” of the Municipal Unit of Hellespont of the Municipality of Kozani, with the Project Body: “ND ENERGY MONOPROSSOPI A. Eh”. The subject project concerns the construction and operation of a 17.1 MW ASPIE, in areas that are administratively included in the location ΄΄Brachos΄΄ of T.K. Akrin and Ekohi of the Municipality of Kozani.

All the opinions of the relevant bodies & services were positive – except that of the Regional Council of Western Macedonia. The forest services were positive for the approximately 58 acres out of approximately 65 of the project with the following footnote: “We know that in the wider area, many companies are active for the installation and operation of RES, and in fact many have secured the required permits so that huge areas have been reserved with the corresponding effects on the environment and primarily on animal husbandry.” The station will consist of three (3) triple wind turbines (A/C) with a power of 5.7MW each.
