Authorities in Brazil have arrested a 33-year-old lawyer for murdering his 73-year-old neighbor after a fight over his off-leash dog.
In a video of the murderous episode in the city Vitoria last Saturday, the 33-year-old appears Lawyer Luis Franca pulling a gun while walking his dog and shooting 73-year-old Manuel de Oliveira. According to the authorities, more than 30 shots were allegedly exchanged between the 33-year-old and the 73-year-old.

According to the victim’s wife, the 73-year-old had returned to their home and had taken a gun which he placed in his waistband before the lawyer opened fire.
“It all started here. We were sitting when the lawyer started insulting us. My husband didn’t say anything to him. He started saying ‘I told you old man, put a leash on your dog,'” described what preceded the 73-year-old’s wife. She also claimed that she asked Franka to leave with the lawyer replying “no I’m not leaving, let’s see who dies first”.
The 73-year-old’s dog was also injured by the shots.
“I fought back, he took the gun and shot me and I shot back. Help me,” the lawyer said in the phone call seconds after the shootings, with his lawyers arguing the 33-year-old is the victim, not the aggressor.
