The contract for the restoration of the road network of the Region of Florina (EO Florina-Prespes) was signed by the Regional Governor of Western Macedonia George Amanatidis
The contract for the execution of the project entitled “Rehabilitation of the road network of the PE of Florina (EO Florina-Prespes)”signed today, Monday, April 22, 2024, by the Regional Governor of Western Macedonia, Giorgos Amanatidis.
The €1,470,000.00 project, which is expected to be completed within four months, concerns the restoration of the landslides caused by heavy rainfall on the 11th kilometer of the Florina-Kastoria National Road as well as on a section of the National Road Network within the Local Pisoderio Community of Florina.
As Mr. Amanatidis pointed out, according to the assurances of the project contractor, every effort will be made to complete the work and restore the road at both points, until the organization of the “Prespeia 2024” events, so as to contribute to the safe passage of visitors to the area.
The Deputy Regional Governor for Technical Works, Haris Govedaros, pointed out that the final inclusion of the landslide project was the main concern of the Regional Authority and after the personal actions of the Regional Governor, the goal was immediately achieved so that the procedures could start and be completed within the schedule.
Mr. Xenophon Kochliadis, legal representative of the sponsoring company, assured for his part that the project will be implemented safely and in accordance with the prescribed regulations.
