The Cleanliness sector of the Municipality of Syros – Ermoupolis is about to take a breather, which will be strengthened with 25 people in the coming days.
As written in a previous publicationa few days ago, the list of hired HR Cleaning Workers, who are getting a job, was posted from Holy Week with a 6-month contract.
This means that from the Easter period and throughout the tourist season, until the end of October, the Municipality will ensure sufficient human resources to cover the increased needs in the Cleaning sector.
It is recalled that the problem that has arisen with the staffing of the specific sector in recent years is particularly acute, due to the continuous departures of employees (mainly retirements), who are not replaced by permanent hires.
The present assistance with contract workers who will work for 6 months, is simply a temporary solution, with the Municipality of Syros – Ermoupoli looking for a permanent solution to the problem and future assurance of the operation of this critical service.
