In this context, the Region of Attica allocates 101 million euros to the Municipality of Athens to upgrade the quality of life. For tangible and concrete things. The initiative supported by Mr. Hardalias includes more than 40 separate projects and is part of the Integrated Spatial “Athens 2030”, part of the overall program “Attica 2021-2027”. Of the 101 million euros of the Region, 78 million euros will go to strengthening “spatial, economic, social, environmental and cultural development”, 18 million euros to “promote regional social cohesion” and 5 million euros to strengthen competitiveness and extroversion. In his statements to “Secret”, N. Hardalias stated that “this is an initiative of the Region, which I would describe as brave. It is not only that we have the amount of 101 million euros, but that we are joining forces with the Municipality of Athens in a common pursuit: to implement the concept of metropolitanity, to make Athens together the city in which we really want to live. to live, to work, to move – after all, to live”.
