The D.O.K. presents his Orchestral music ensembles. The program includes the emblematic work “Misa Criolla” by the Argentinian composer Ariel Ramirez & the presentation of the “Young Soloists” of the Conservatory who will perform works for violin and Orchestra. Ariel Ramirez’s Misa criolla is one of the first musicalizations of the Roman Catholic Divine Liturgy following the decision of the Second Vatican Council in 1963 which allowed the use of local languages in Catholic churches around the world. The Argentinian composer, one of the most important figures in the global movement of the convergence of popular musical traditions with European spoken music and a deep connoisseur of traditional Andean song, transformed the Spanish text of the Mass with Latin American rhythms and instruments, creating an oratorio for soloists , string, wind and percussion orchestra, one of the most popular hybrid works of the 20th century with wide distribution. The history of the Greek reception of the work was marked by the interpretation of Stavros Xarhakos and Giorgos Dalaras in 1989, while the best-known recording remains the 1990 version with soloist José Carreras.
Soloist in our version is Thanasis Kyriazoglou (Monodias class of Dora Tani). The Mixed Choir of D.O.K. accompanied by an organ ensemble:
Guitar – Georgoulas Giorgos, Percussion – Tsonis Tassos – Nikos Despinas – Patsonas Kleovoulos, Piano – Giorgos Tzoukas.

The “Young Soloists” program gives the opportunity to young talented students of the Conservatory to collaborate with the Orchestra. Aim to highlight and inspire young students. The New Soloists are: Karausta Sotiria, Ioannidis Diamantis, Chrysopoulos Roussopoulos, Lambros Koutsoupas, Dimitris Tatsinas, Theodoros Kyratzopoulos, Konstantina Papazisi. String preparation Ludmila Akhimbalova.

The Music Direction of the musical ensembles is Maestro Christos Ktistakis.
