Publication of the Financial Times speaks of the putting pressure on the Greek and Spanish governmentsin order for the two countries to provide air defense systems to Ukraine.
According to the report of the British media, during the European Summit in Brussels last week, European leaders urged Prime Ministers Sanchez and Mitsotakis to donate to Kiev some of the anti-aircraft systems that the armed forces of the two countries have. The Ukrainians are even said to be particularly interested in them Greek S-300sas it is a system they know well.
In the same article of the British newspaper, statements of an unnamed European diplomat are also hosted, who mentions the following: “There are countries that have no immediate need for their air defense systems, to be very honest. Each country is called upon to decide what it can allocate.”

Finally, it is noted that the Financial Times contacted the Ministry of Defense in Madrid and the Ministry of National Defense in Athens, whose officials did not want to comment on this information.
