An alarm sounded at Paro on Monday evening (22/04>) after big fire pth broke out on the island and specifically in the Pyrgaki area of Parikia.
According to cyclades24, due to the winds the fire has taken on large dimensions, while it is raging in a residential area, with the Firefighters fighting the flames.
A while ago, urgent notifications were sent from 112 to remove people from the area and head towards the beach of Parikia.
Both ground and air forces of the Fire Department are working to extinguish the front.
