Mr. Angelakos “opened up” – again – the issue of the vaccines bought for the strays, essentially accusing the Municipality of “mismanagement”

According to the advisor of Mr. Smyrniotis’ faction, he argued that the vaccines were “many”, some have “expired” and with the same money other materials could be bought, useful for the management of strays.

Mr. Tzioumis answered in an intense tone, referring to the “Filodimos” program, under the terms of which the relevant supply was made. In fact, the Mayor announced that the company will supply the Municipality with new vaccines and medicines, covering the needs of 2 years. At this point, opposition councilors, without taking the floor, argued that this procedure was carried out after the complaints were made on behalf of the animal welfare organization as well as opposition councilors.

Earlier, there was an intense verbal confrontation between the Deputy Mayor, Mr. Papadatos, and the President of the Chamber of Arcadia and municipal councilor, Mr. Troupis, on the occasion of a “derogatory” characterization by Mr. Papadatos, regarding the “quality” of the questions that Mr. Angelakos addressed to the municipal authority.

The discussion further took an ugly turn, when Mr. Tzioumis referred to “anonymous local blogs” that make daily complaints – which turn out to be “false” -, stressing that the Municipality will take legal action against those who slander “everywhere”.

Despite this, his reference to Mr. Angelakos, whom he “warned” that if he continues to reproduce slanders, he will be considered to be “performing a service”, provoked the reaction of members of the body.

See here an excerpt of the discussion.
