THE trial of the 56-year-old talk show hostarrested on extortion charges, was adjourned until tomorrow, Tuesday (23/4).
More specifically, according to information from voria.gr, the presenter is accused of blackmailing two people regarding publications that concerned them, in a newspaper of a 39-year-old publisher, which has also concerned the justice system in the past.
The 56-year-old was referred to Autoforno Three-member Criminal Court of Thessaloniki and he requested an adjournment due to the absence of his lawyer. The court granted the request and adjourned the trial until tomorrow, however decided not to lift his reservation and so he will remain a prisoner.
Against the 56-year-old as well as the 39-year-old, who was searched but not arrested in the context of the carjacking, prosecuted for attempted extortion by conspiracy and serially.
According to the indictment, one 46 years old he alleged that the two men offered him to give them money to publish a report that would… acquit him of a case of indecency with a minor for which he is accused and then told him that if he did not agree they would defame him.
At the same time, one 44 years old singer complained that he was being blackmailed into giving them an amount of up to 15,000 euros not to publish a text that pictures him as a pedophile.
