In an announcement from the 6th Gymnasium of Larisa, the following are highlighted:

“Within the European Program ERASMUS+ with code 2023-1-EL01-KA121-SCH-000129483, our school, as an accredited school with Accreditation Code 2020-1-EL001-KA1200-SCH-000094713 and with the aim of educating its members in Robotics, New Technologies and their integration in the teaching of Mathematicsthe teacher Mr. Panagiotis Rembapis was transferred to the Harjunrenteen school in the city of Riihimaki Finlandfrom 8 to 12 April 2024.

First, he was guided around the premises of the school, which is fully equipped with modern General and Technical Education Laboratories. Participated with co-teaching and monitoring in Mathematics classes through a new way of teaching with the use of New Technologies, acquiring new skills for better organization and more efficient use of Digital Technology. He attended the course of Astronomy, Religious Studies as well as a combined course of Mathematics and Geography. He also participated in the English lesson, in two different classes, introducing our school and our city to the students.

A special and special experience was the monitoring and training at Roboticsinside the modern and fully equipped Laboratory school’s. His students have advanced education in robotics, (started in 2016), is a guide in this field throughout Finland! The school provides training seminars in Robotics to teachers from this country, but also from abroad, and the students have participated in international competitions outside the country, obtaining important distinctions!

Finally, on the last day, special and very emotional, were the moments he lived in the closed gym of the school, where the students and their teachers gathered. At the beginning, videos of our school and our city, made by our students, were shown. Afterwards and in an atmosphere of excitement, the teacher performed famous songs by Mikis Theodorakis, accompanied on the piano by the school’s Music teacher, giving the rhythm to the students who followed with him and reciprocated with their lively applause.

In addition to school activities, the teacher toured the nearby city of Lahti, participated in the rehearsal of the city’s Chamber Choir and attended a concert by the city’s Symphony Orchestra at the famous Sibelius Hall!

This mobility offered many benefits, the teacher returned with experience of cooperation and coexistence, was enriched with new knowledge and approaches to education through the Erasmus+ program, strengthening creativity and cooperation in the educational sector, while the results of the program will then be disseminated”.
