“Education is an important pillar for PASOK”noted MP Kilkis and head of PASOK’s education department, Stefanos Parastatidesat the political event organized on the subject of education by the Prefectural Committee and the Larissa Municipal Organization of the party, on Monday afternoon at the Metropol Hotel.

Mr. Parastatidis, who was also the keynote speaker of the event, analyzed the general political current affairs and of course the PASOK law proposal on education, while he spoke about the problems faced by young people today.

Specifically, he stated, “we are proceeding with a thematic discussion today in Larissa concerning education. Education together with health are important pillars for PASOK and we have invested and built our own proposals. We want to discuss them with the citizens and explain what we think about the future of the country”.

Mr. Parastatides was welcomed by the Secretary of K.O. of PASOK – Movement for Change and Member of Parliament for Larissa, Evangelia Liakoulis, noting that “PASOK continues throughout the country a campaign to inform all citizens about very serious issues such as education and public school issues. Not long ago we were tested in a government operation to present private universities as the institutions that will change the academic map of the country, but we resisted.”

The MEP candidate of PASOK – Movement for Change also spoke at the event, Nikos Tsilimigas and the PASOK Youth network coordinator and MEP candidate, George Tsoumas.

Mr. Tsilimigas explained the reasons he chose to stand as a candidate in the European elections with PASOK, noting that “Thessaly is in “intensive care” and is suffering”adding that he himself having lived in Europe and his presence will be catalytic.

For his part, Mr. Tsoumas mentioned that PASOK, “he touches on the problems that we citizens face and tries to find solutions through a dialogue”. He explained that a campaign has been launched with the aim of reaching the message of the party throughout Greece and with the aim of PASOK emerging as the official opposition that will shed light on the real problems.
