According to the authorities, suicide is the most likely scenario in the case of a 34-year-old man falling from the White Tower at noon on Monday.

According to the latest information, all the evidence the police have shows that the 34-year-old committed suicide. The video material from the security cameras of Lefkos Pyrgos, as reported by thestival.gr, provide the answer, as it is said that the 34-year-old is depicted to take a turn, jump over the guardrail and finally fall into the void.

The same information states that the 34-year-old at the time of his fall, first hit the windowsill between the battlements and then ended up on the ground. An eyewitness from his side reported that the 34-year-old also hit a tree branch before reaching the spot where he was found dead. It is noted that the tragic incident happened before 2:00 pm.

ELAS forces as well as EKAV ambulances immediately rushed to the scene, but despite the rescuers’ efforts to bring him back, he died.
