Consistent with our commitment to maintain an open dialogue with the local communities of Sparta, Thessaloniki and Komotini, throughout the development of the construction projects of the new Sparta General Hospital Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), the University Pediatric Hospital of Thessaloniki SNF and the new Komotini SNF General Hospital respectively, we are organizing another cycle of open meetings in the three regions. The meetings will be attended by representatives of the SNF, the Ministry of Health, the study team and the construction contractor – AVAX Group. The discussions will be attended by the Deputy Minister of Health, Mr. Marios Themistocleouswhile the President of the SNF, Mr. Andreas Dracopoulos.

In more detail, the schedule of open meetings is structured as follows:

– New Sparta General Hospital SNF: Monday, May 13, at 18:00. (More information about the venue of the meeting will be announced soon).

– University Pediatric Hospital of Thessaloniki SNF: Thursday, May 16, at 6:00 p.mat the Municipal Gymnasium of Filyros

– New General Hospital of Komotini SNF: Friday, May 17, at 6:00 p.min the courtyard of Tsanaklio Megaro

It is recalled that the donation for the design, construction and equipment of the new SNF Sparta General Hospital, the SNF Thessaloniki University Pediatric Hospital and the new SNF Komotini General Hospital is part of the International Health Initiative (HII) which is fully funded by the SNF, with a total budget exceeding $1 billion. The development of the three new state-of-the-art SNF hospitals reflects the shared vision of the SNF and the internationally renowned architect, Renzo Piano, to create model hospitals of the future based on a truly human-centered approach and incorporating pioneering environmental specifications. Upon completion of the construction and equipment process, the three new SNF hospitals will be handed over to the Greek State for immediate operation within the framework of the National Health System.
