The Central Port Authority of Heraklion issued instructions to citizens due to the weather conditions predicted for tomorrow.

The announcement in detail:

The Central Port Authority of Heraklion announces that according to the E.M.Y/EMK Weather Forecast Bulletin 23-4-2024 /13:00 for tomorrow Tuesday, the following weather phenomena will prevail:
CYCLADES, CRETE
Weather: Cloudy and clear from the afternoon.
Winds: Southeast 7 to 8 and in the Cyclades 8 to 9 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 18 to 24 and in northern Crete up to 29 degrees Celsius.

All owners of ships and small boats moored in our area are invited to take all appropriate measures to safely moor their boats.

Professional fishing – recreational vessels and small boats are required to avoid operating during the period of validity of the weather report.

Tugs, lifeguards, fishing and volunteer groups are asked to be on standby to provide assistance in case it is required.

The local printed and electronic mass media are invited to frequently relay the above orders – instructions throughout the duration that the dangerous weather phenomena will be in effect.

Finally, it is known that the Central Port Authority of Heraklion has made ready all the personnel and available floating and land means to deal with incidents of providing assistance to any ships, small boats and persons in danger.
