Thessaloniki: Presenter and editor arrested for extortion in custody

A presenter and a publisher who were arrested for extortion in Thessaloniki remain in custody.

Specifically, a 56-year-old man who was arrested in the previous 24 hours with the automatic procedure accused of demanding extortion money on behalf of his 39-year-old accomplice remains in custody. According to what has become known, the first is a presenter of television shows and the second is a publisher and TV presenter who has employed the Justice in the past.

A criminal prosecution was brought against them for attempted extortion by complicity and serially. The 56-year-old was referred to be tried at the Autoforo Three-member Misdemeanor Court of Thessaloniki (the case was postponed until tomorrow), while the 39-year-old was not identified in the context of the Autoforo. There had been two previous complaints, according to which the above two persons demanded sums of money to withdraw publications related to their court cases.
