New incident against its executive New Republic took place on Sunday, April 21 this time at Patraswith the Deputy Minister of Transport, Christina Alexopoulou to be verbally attacked from priest in the holy church of Apostolos Pavlos. In this way, the “hunting” of ND MPs in holy temples, for the approval of the same-sex marriage bill, continues.

In particular, we should note that this is the second incident against a New Democracy MP, since on Sunday morning the ND MP, Angeliki Delikari, was attacked by a female former NIKI candidate in a holy temple. Besides, on Friday, the Minister of Health, Adonis Georgiadis, was also verbally attacked by a priest in Amyntaio.

Specifically, as the Pelop.gr website reports, while everything was going smoothly, after the speech of the despot, the priest tried to cause tension for the presence in the church of Christina Alexopoulos, on the occasion of the passing of the bill for same-sex couples.

A few people who were in the church also went to do the same, with X. Alexopoulou leaving the Tampahanon square, with the Despot’s brother by her side, who took her by the hand and they left, without following up on the incident.

The incident was confirmed to the “Parapolitika” radio station by the Deputy Minister of Transport Christina Alexopoulou herself. According to reports, the priest is reportedly known for his extreme positions.

Adonis Georgiadis: Verbal attack by a priest

Let us recall that the last Friday, a religious minister verbally attacked the Minister of Health Adonis Georgiadis in Amyntaio.

“What did you come to do in the church that you voted for this abomination and you are now an abomination yourself”, Archimandrite Sevastianos said to the Minister of Health, who stayed and listened to him without reacting to the former’s criticisms of the “shameful”, such as he characterized, a bill, which – according to him – was made for “the sake of a few people”.

Hieronymus on the attacks on politicians: The Church does not take revenge

THE Archbishop Hieronymos, disturbed by the violence of the reactions, commented on the behavior of the clergy and the recent attacks on politicians who voted for the controversial bill on same-sex couples.

In response to a journalist’s question about the attacks on politicians, on the occasion of the vote on marriage for same-sex couples and the slapping attack on a ND MP in a church in Kavala, the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece Mr. Ieronymos said:

“Such manifestations are not right. The Church is love. It complains, it says its positions, it is firm in them, but we must not forget that love is that which is above all, as also kindness and tolerance. These incidents are also due to the education of everyone and the influence of some people, who perceive many things of the Church as revenge.

THE The Church, however, does not take revenge. She loves, but she doesn’t leave her positions“.

It is recalled that on Sunday, a woman slapped Angeliki Delikari, ND MP, inside a church in I’m riding.

It all started when the woman, a former MP candidate with Niki, approached the MP of the ruling party inside the church of Agios Konstantinos and Eleni in the Pulideio nursing home in Kavala, at the end of the Divine Liturgy. The woman slapped Angeliki Delikaris, while allegedly shouting various things against her from the moment the priest announced the presence of the MP in the church. He succeeded against her because of the passage of the same-sex marriage bill.

Mrs. Delikari stated, among other things, (Action24) that before the slap the perpetrator was shouting at her to leave the holy temple. “This woman appeared immediately and slapped me with all the force she had. It happened very quickly. She was shouting ‘out, out, disgrace'”, said the MP, adding that she does not wish to be prosecuted.

The incident was condemned by both New Democracy, SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance and the Communist Party of Greece, while “Niki” referred the woman to the disciplinary body of the party with the question of deletion.
