Successful informational action on health issues by the ENEEGYL of Patras

Important health issues were at the center of the informative activity organized by the Unified Special Vocational Gymnasium-Lyceum of Patras in partnership with the 19th Gymnasium of Patras on Monday, April 22 in the morning at the Old Slaughterhouses multipurpose hall.

The action related to the Health Promotion and Prevention program and informative-experiential workshops with the participation of 40 students, took place in the Carnival (K6) and Karagiozi (K7) halls of the Old Slaughterhouses multipurpose hall. The topics covered were “Breast cancer, prevention, risk assessment, overview and Palpation” and “Smoking and addictive substances: the health effects of substance use, strategies for prevention and treatment of addiction and the development of resistance skills”.

The Breast Cancer Association of the Prefecture of Achaia “leap of life” participated, while the action was carried out with the cooperation of the Cultural Heritage Promotion Structure of the Municipality of Patreon.

At the same time, the students were guided around the premises of the Old Slaughterhouses, informed about the history and current operation of the site, about the activities of KEDIP-Carnival of Patras and the Cultural Heritage Promotion Structure of the Municipality of Patras and visited the “Art Education Inclusion” exhibition of the Unified Specialist Vocational Gymnasium and Lyceum of Patras which is hosted in the exhibition hall (K4) of the multipurpose hall, as well as the exhibitions with sketches by Andreas Angelopoulos and constructions of the Hidden Treasure which are hosted in the main hall of the Carnival (K6).
