On Tuesday of Epiphany, May 7, 2024, the 2nd LEONTIOS DROMOS will take place, in memory of Saint Leontiou who practiced in Blacherni! The vicar of our village, Father Panagiotis, informed us that this year the vespers for the feast of Saint Leontius will be celebrated in the Monastery of Kastania on Tuesday, May 7 at 07:00 in the afternoon.
The route (4,319m.) will start from the public road at the turn to Kastania (Lazos position, before the fork) and we will reach the Monastery of Panagia Vlachernon, the hermitage and the tomb of OSIOS LEONTIOU and at the end of the evening we will return . For the exact time of gathering and departure there will be a newer and timely update.
So get ready, take your walking stick with you, a water bottle, a flashlight, put on good shoes, so we can walk in the footsteps of OSIOS LEONTIOU!
The Leone road that started last year,
