A special operational action was carried out by the Juvenile Protection Sub-Directorate to prevent and deal with juvenile delinquency in the Municipality of Ampelokipi – Menemeni. A total of 93 people were checked and 5 admissions were made.

In detail, in a statement, the police state:

A special operational action was planned by the Juvenile Protection Sub-Directorate of the Thessaloniki Security Directorate to prevent juvenile delinquency, which was implemented in the afternoon and evening yesterday (21-04-2024), in areas of the Municipality of Ampelokipi – Menemeni, with the assistance of police officers from Directorates of Security, Police, Direct Action and Foreigners of Thessaloniki.

In the context of the action, which was developed in selected places, a total of (93) people were checked, while (5) adults were brought.

The purpose was to collect data and map the movement of minors who may be involved in incidents of delinquency.

The data collected will be the subject of evaluation, utilization and investigation for the design of targeted actions in areas where there is an accumulation of cases of juvenile delinquency.

Similar excursions will continue in the field of preventing and dealing with the phenomenon of youth crime.
