The documentary was watched with great interest by hundreds of young and old builders, other workers, while the presence of builders – despite their advanced age – who actively participated in the struggles of that period and later was particularly moving but also exemplary. The event was also attended by the family of the former president of the Athens Construction Syndicate, Stavrou Litsawho passed away prematurely.

The struggles of the industry, as presented through the documentary and the narratives of some of the construction activists of that period, created a climate of mental upliftment and class struggle optimism for the development of the organized struggle of the workers.

“The highlighting of the example of the pioneer and heroic action of the construction movement of that period, the spirit of comradely and comradely solidarity that characterized every phase of the struggles as well as the decisive overcoming of the difficulties encountered by the cruel persecutions of the bourgeois state and employer terrorism , with the class criterion and faith in the purpose of the struggle as a weapon, is a response against the deification of individualism, in its logic nothing changes in the theory of the ineffectiveness of struggles cultivated by the ruling class to promote its interests”the Federation and the Syndicate emphasize.

In the next period, spaces will be selected in certain areas of Athens for the screening of the documentary, in order to give the opportunity to more builders and other workers to watch it.
