In full swing there is a special operation of the EL.AS for the murderous attack months ago on the unfortunate MAT police officer, Giorgos Lyggeridis, with a naval flare in Rentis. At least 50 arrests and arrests have been made, while according to information from thriassio.gr, houses were raided in Western Attica, with official announcements expected within the day.

Those arrested will be brought by GADA before the Prosecutor of First Instance to be formally charged. The information states that EL.AS. has proceeded with a barrage of arrests of organized Olympiakos fans, which, however, are expected to turn into arrests, as all this time a case file was being drawn up regarding, among other things, the establishment of a criminal organization for the tragic event.

The case will be handled by the Athens Prosecutor’s Office and not Piraeus, to avoid incidents and because there are more police forces in Athens.

The aim of the sports violence sub-directorate was to identify moral perpetrators in the case as an 18-year-old has already been remanded in custody for the murder of the policeman. He had admitted to throwing the fatal flare.

About 110 people allegedly participated in the incidents, however, EL.AS targeted. there is a closed core of 3-5 fans, who belong to the leaders of Gate 7 and are among the big “heads” of the organized Olympiacos. These people seem to have sent messages to gather outside the enclosure while they were surveying the area. These individuals are expected to be charged with complicity.
