The idea of creating the company had to do with finding a solution to the double exploitation of land in the agriculture sector, with the use of agrophotovoltaics.

The company began development in 2016 with transparent agro-photovoltaic panels, which produce clean energy, making them ideal for crops.
advantage of Brite panels is that they have the optimal performance for both agricultural production and energy production on the same piece of land at the same time. The panels contain coatings of nanostructured materials that increase the permeability of the glass, repel rainwater, and make use of UV radiation (which is useless to both plants and solar cells) to increase photosynthetic energy for the plants.
Brite’s technology uses nanomaterials that increase the transmittance of the panel glass and shift UV light (which is useless to most plants and solar cells) into the red, where plants photosynthesize. These materials, when combined with double-sided monocrystalline silicon solar cells allow to manufacture the Agri-PV panel with optimal performance for both cultivation and energy production on the same piece of land.
Completion of the production line at the Patras VIPE will initially have a capacity of 150MWp and soon 300MWp. At the moment the products are manufactured in China and India but at the end of 2024 they will be manufactured in Patras.
