Many kiosks have remained in the old exterior and interior style, since their owners do not have the money to modernize them

The need to modernize and change the appearance of the kiosks is emphasized by the president of the booth vendors and tobacconists of Crete, Eleni Haireti.

The same, sending a message to the new municipal authority and after the fact that within the next quarter the works to improve the facade of the shops in the center of Heraklion, which have been included in the “Open Shopping Center of the Municipality of Heraklion” Program, will be completed, request of the kiosks, as he says, is also what will happen to the current image of the kiosks in Heraklion.

In particular, many kiosks have remained in the old exterior and interior style, since their owners do not have the money to modernize them. At the same time, of course, there is no lack of those that are “locked” either due to financial difficulties of the owner, or because based on a decision they have to be moved because they are in the way, but they are not moved elsewhere and never operate again. “Our booths need to change their appearance. We ask the new municipal authority to bend to our problems”, emphasizes Mrs. Haireti and sends her own message to the municipal authority.
