“Greece My Mother” is the title of the new single by Sophocles Vranas, which is released digitally on all platforms by Spider Music.

In addition to his performance, he also composes the music for this song, while the lyrics are written by Konstantinos Kyritsis, the video was directed by Kostas Godtikakis.

“Hellada Mana mou”, is a genuine zeibekiko that describes the experience of Nostalgia, and the love that Greek Immigrants feel for their Homeland.

An immigrant himself, Sophocles, who is deeply realistic but also a dreamy visionary, tells us a part of his life in every song he has released to date. This time with “Mother Greece”, it is certain that the feeling he wants to convey will strike the hearts of millions of Greeks all over the world.

Sofokles Vranas has not lost his hope that he will soon return to Greece, his Homeland! And every step, small or big, leads him to this goal, of return.

In the video, the actor Yiannis Dimitrakis, the Spyros Lambrou Children’s Choir and Konstantinos Anastopoulos from D Petropoulos’ zeibeki academy participate.

Kostas Godtikakis used the book Odyssey by Nikos Kazantzakis in his plans, not by chance, since this particular book talks about wandering and returning. Also, some of the location shots were taken at the Pontian Genocide Memorial in Piraeus.
