EFET recalls smoked trout containing listeria

By decision of the EFET, smoked trout is recalled, as it was shown to contain unsuitable microorganisms.

After a complaint was made to EFET, the presence of the pathogenic microorganism Listeria monocytogenes in a product of the company “G. PANAGIOTOPOULOS I. BAKATSIAS OE. FISH CULTURE”.

After that the company recalled three of its products as a precaution.

“Smoked Karpenisiou Trout (fillet)”, with the trade name “fresco” and production date from 23.01.2024 to 10.04.2024 (expiry date from 22.05.2024 to 08.08.2024).

“Smoked Marinated Trout of Karpenisi (fillet)”, with trade name “fresco” and production date from 24.01.2024 to 09.04.2024 (expiration date from 21.08.2024 to 05.11.2024).

“Smoked Trout of Karpenisi (whole)”, with trade name “fresco” and production date from 24.01.2024 to 28.03.2024 (expiration date from 22.07.2024 to 24.09.2024).

Consumers who have purchased the specific products should not consume them.
