George Manos had great love for his hometown of Kozani which he visited regularly, he was responsible and very honorable. and he worked unselfishly to deal with many problems that concerned our country, such as structural reinforcement of Holy Churches, Monasteries, Stone Bridges, the High Bridge of the Serbs for many others.

In memory of Kozanite Professor Georgiou X. Manos

It is with deep sadness and respect that we express our sorrow for the loss of Georgios Manos, Professor Emeritus of the Department of Civil Engineering of AUTH who served science and knowledge for half a century. During these five decades, Professor G. X. Manos dedicated himself to science by writing pioneering technical publications of international prestige and recognition, passing on the deep knowledge he possessed in earthquake engineering to the members of the Technical Chamber of Greece. The loss of Professor leaves a great void in our community, but his memories and contribution will last forever.

Professor Georgios Manos was distinguished for his deep knowledge, ingenuity and his passionate commitment to the promotion of technology and education in Greece. His offer to T.E.E. she was rich with participation in numerous scientific committees and a rich written work. It leaves a timeless legacy for future generations.

Through his work and his inspiration, Professor Georgios Manos contributed significantly to the development of the technological field, to earthquake engineering and to the training of new generations of professionals. His presence will be deeply missed, but the values, selflessness, sensitivity of social contribution, rational way of thinking and ideas he left us will continue to guide us.

We express our deepest condolences to the family of our Professor Georgios X. Manos and his loved ones. His contribution will remain unforgettable and we will continue to honor it and use it for the common good.
