An event sponsored by the Region of Peloponnese and the Municipality of Tripoli.

The performance of “Requiem” by the French composer Gabriel Urbain Fauré (1845-1924), presented by the Choir of Orpheus of Tripoli, in the spirit of the indulgent days of Holy Week, on Saturday of Lazarus, April 27 at 8 pm, at the Metropolitan Church of Agios Basilios of Tripoli.

The work belongs to the late romantic era and is characterized by its melodiousness and calm overwhelming character and the solo parts are performed by soprano Yelena Yovanovits Bakopoulou and baritone Vassilis Denachis Kostopoulos.

He narrates the lyrics of the hymn Vassilis Georgaras. The choir is accompanied by a small orchestra consisting of Giorgos Michalopoulos on organ, Thodoris Paltoglou on violin and viola and Fotini Alexopoulou on cello. Music teaching & direction Christina Athanasopoulou.

The event is taking place under the auspices of the Region of Peloponnese and the Municipality of Tripoli, according to what is mentioned in the relevant press release.
