A few words about the book:

The financial crisis, which broke out in 2009 with the bankruptcy of Leeman Brothers, rekindled, at an international level, the interest in the ancient Athenian democracy, whose characteristic element is considered the town church.

In all the so-called democracies, especially in the West, a movement has begun based on the formation of collectives (Citizens’ Assemblies) which represent the municipal church, without, of course, having any relation to it, and send various memoranda to the governments begging them to implement them.

They are not very different from the one-dimensional anti-war or environmental organizations. In other words, Manolios changed and put on his cape differently

This whole situation could not leave the Greeks indifferent, especially when the crisis here had even opened the door to bankruptcy. And here collectives were set up which promote direct democracy according to the standards of the ancient Athenian democracy with the motto: the people in power.

In this book, the pitfalls of the municipal church that are created in assemblies of more than a hundred people are highlighted and for this reason it is considered as an inappropriate means for satisfying the official principles of democracy which, after all, define it.

At the same time, a functional model of democracy for today is presented for the first time, with which, without initially requiring constitutional changes, it is possible to satisfy the axiomatic principles of a real democratic state.
