Maria had a husband Dimitrios Delivanis, rector of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, a Kozanite from a large family. (we were neighbors with his father’s house).
Maria Negreponti of the extended family from Trieste to the US State Department. He has rich studies, Greece and abroad with a doctorate at the Sorbonne and many other degrees. She was elected three times Rector of the University of Macedonia and during her days the university building was erected and ABETH became the university of MACEDONIA.
Her CV is enriched by visiting many countries and cities where she gave university courses and lectures, multilingual, Honorary of the Romanian Academy of Sciences. Many honors, from France she was awarded the French national order of knight of the legion d’Honneur.

Maria Negreponti is a very good friend and I brought her three times to Kozani and she spoke, in fact in September 2012 at the conference “Kozani 600 years of History”, she took part and spoke on the topic “Development potential and lost opportunities of Kozani” she has been included in proceedings of the conference.

She took part as a speaker, organizer and president in countless conferences around the world.
