Golidakis – Tzitzikostas meeting on Fly Over and the development of Thessaloniki

Cardiologist specialist and ND Member of Parliament in the 1st Thessaloniki Diamantis Golidakis had a working meeting with the regional governor of Central Macedonia, Apostolos Tzitzikostas.

The tete-a-tete took place in the regional governor’s office located in the Region’s services building in western Thessaloniki and took place in a very good and friendly atmosphere.

At the heart of the meeting were issues of daily life that concern the citizens of Thessaloniki, but also the implementation of important projects for the city and central Macedonia, such as for Thessaloniki the regeneration of Eleftheria Square, the extension of the wooden beach deck and the upgrading of Aristotle, but also the most emblematic interventions, such as the regeneration of the seafront and the construction process of the Pavlos Melas Metropolitan Park, which are financed by the Region of Central Macedonia.

The two men also discussed the progress of the flyover works, with Mr. Golidakis expressing optimism that the project will not have a significant delay after the recent interruption of its work. Mr. Golidakis also expressed his satisfaction with the great absorption of European funds by the region, something which obviously returns to the benefit of the citizens.

Finally, the two men also exchanged views on the importance of the upcoming European elections and expressed the hope that citizens’ participation in the June 9 ballot box in Greece and throughout Europe will be large.
