Business intelligence in Patras – The conference of eHorizons, ProVisions and TARGIT Greece

On March 27th in Patras, the conference on Business Intelligence was organized by the companies eHorizons, ProVisions and TARGIT Greece.

The day was crowned with success, as the subject attracted the interest of several guests.

The day started with the welcome from the director of the company eHorizons, Konstantinos Xeno. This was followed by the greetings from Georgios Pappa, certified public accountant and president of the local OEE, who emphasized the importance of the existence of such business intelligence tools in companies, as Petros Mantas, president of PASEVIPE, also emphasized.

Then followed the introduction to the world of Business Intelligence by Georgios Panagopoulos, who characterized BI as a data visualization process, in which a company quickly combines data from various sources through a software in order to be received by managers, timely optimal decisions for the well-being of the business.

Costas Oikonomakis, general manager of TARGIT Greece then spoke about the new landscape in Data Analysis. The road to BI Targit’s action was covered by Aristidis Vassis and Stavros Tsoukalas, Commercial Director and Business Intelligence Analyst, respectively, of TARGIT Greece.

This was followed by the speech on the application of BI in Financial Statements, by Panagiotis Panagopoulos, head of financial analysis and co-founder of eHorizons. Special mention was made that through BI, a number of Financial reports, KPI’s, and Administrative reports (MIS reports) can be designed and produced.

The speeches were followed by Kostas Angelakis, business consultant, co-founder with P. Panagopoulos. & Konstantinos Xeno, of Provisions IKE, on business planning, which includes budget models, cash flows, and business plans.
The speech was completed by the founder of Squaredev Megaklis Vassilakis on the subject of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Business Intelligence (BI). It was developed how with the help of Artificial Intelligence it is possible to forecast (forecasting) economic quantities.
