The 23rdthe April has been established internationally by UNESCO as book day. The Central Public Library of Larissa “Konstantinos Koumas” as part of the events that have started since April 1 to commemorate this day, organizes an event on the theme “Reading what we love” and invites its members and friends to celebrate together by reading texts in poetry and prose that they love and express them.

The event will take place on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 7:30 in the Library Auditorium. The event will be coordinated by Mrs. Irini Kollatou, a philologist seconded to the Public Library.

Members and friends of the Library who wish to read their favorite texts should sign up at the World Book Day link, writing their name, their status, the title of the poem or prose passage as well as the name of the author. The texts (poems or prose passages) should be short and the reading time should not exceed 4 minutes. A priority order will be observed based on the time of their declaration.

Ioannis Marangoulis, musician, will accompany the event with his guitar.
