The route will visit historical sites of the Municipality of Lamia and the Regional Unit of Fthiotida.

The Association G.O. Lamias “Athan. Diakos” is co-organizing for the second consecutive year with the Municipality of Lamia and the Organization for Cultural Development of Central Greece (P.E. Fthiotidas) the intercollegiate endurance race 2o Cycle Tour of Lamia, on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. The race is part of the competition program of the Hellenic Cycling Federation. The start will be given by the Panhellenic Exhibition of Lamia (11:00) and after a route of 94 kilometers it will end at Ag. Louka, where the awards will also take place (15:00). The race is aimed at road cyclists with a racing card in the categories of Teenagers-Youths, Men-Women and Masters A-C and highlights in the best way the benefits of cycling, the history of the area and the beauties of the route.

The route will visit historical sites of the Municipality of Lamia and the Regional Unit of Fthiotida. He will pass by her Alamana and them Thermopylaeinside the village Bralo with the famous railway station, it will cross the historical Gorgopotamothe Compotes with the centuries-old plane trees, the Baths of Hypatis with the thermal baths and will end on its pine-covered hill Saint Luke in front of the statue of Achilles.

Last year’s successful event laid the foundations for a more complete event this year which aims to promote our country and cultural heritage as well as the sport of cycling. Our pursuit is the engagement with the ecological sport of cycling and the promotion of the values ​​of sport, good life, good competition, noble competition, competitiveness, health, joy of participation, etc.
