Three arrests were made yesterday by men from the Corfu police department for – as the case may be – driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of narcotics and possession of forged documents
Specifically, in the first case, a 47-year-old citizen was identified and arrested, in the city of Corfu, by police officers of the Traffic Accident Control and Prevention Team (T.E.P.T.A.) of the Traffic Department, who – initially – was identified to drives a car I.X. under the influence of alcohol and possessing a small amount of cocaine. Subsequently, it was found that -2- convictions of the Three-Member Court of Appeal and the Single-Member Misdemeanor Court of Athens were pending against him, with total prison terms of -24- months, for the crime of theft.
An additional arrest of a 19-year-old citizen was made on the same day, in an area around the city of Corfu, by police officers of the Crime Prevention and Suppression Team (OPKE), as small amounts of processed and raw cannabis were found in his possession and confiscated .
Meanwhile, a foreigner was arrested yesterday morning at the Corfu airport, who tried to travel illegally abroad, specifically to France, using a forged travel document.
