Visit of Stefanos Kasselakis to the Chamber of Cyclades

Visit to Chamber of Cyclades was held on Saturday, April 20, by the President of SYRIZA – Progressive Alliance, Mr. Stefanos Kasselakis, as part of his tour of the Aegean islands, accompanied by the Member of Parliament, Mr. Evangelos Apostolakis, the MEP candidate from the South Aegean, Ms. Katerina Giannakas and from members of OM SYROU SYRIZA-PS.

Mr. Kasselakis was welcomed by the President Mr. Yannis Roussos, members of Board of Directors as and executives of the Chamber of Cyclades.

During the meeting the President of SYRIZA after being informed about the project, its technological infrastructures Chamber of Cyclades and how these are utilized in order to alleviate the difficulties of island entrepreneurship, he spoke very positively about what was presented to him.

Then followed a discussion on the important issues mentioned by the President of the Chamber, Mr. Yannis Roussos, for the Cyclades. As, among others, her need to reduce the inequalities of the island regions in relation to the mainland, the restoration of the special regime of reduced VAT rates and the need to redesign and strengthen the intra-Cycladic ferry connections.

THE Mr. Kasselakis he agreed with all of the above, and regarding the intra-Cycladic connections he emphasized that, in his opinion, a new design of these can be a significant advantage not only for the movement of passengers but also for the transfer of wealth and goods between the islands
