Two-hour work stoppage in all judicial services of Larissa, from 9:00 am. – 11:00 am is being carried out today by the Association of Judicial Officers of Larisa, in the context of the mobilizations announced by the Federation of Judicial Officers of Greece (ODHYE) for the Reform Bill of the Judicial Charter which the government has put in
consultation.

The Association simultaneously calls its members to an extraordinary general assembly in order to decide on the individual mobilizations in view of the sectoral strike of April 24, 2024 announced by O.D.Y.E.

In the meantime, the Plenary of the presidents of the Bar Associations proposes to the Boards of Directors of the Bar Associations of the country the universal abstinence of their members from Tuesday, April 23 until Holy Tuesday, April 30, 2024.

The Plenary Session of the presidents of the Bar Associations points out, among other things, that “its firm position for maintaining all the Courts of First Instance of the Country as they are today and expresses its strong opposition to the promoted arrangements for the operation of the “Parallel Courts of First Instance”, pointing out that, in addition to the downgrading of the specific judicial formations, in combination with the operation of the Regional Courts of First Instance, major problems are created in the process of granting justice, especially in terms of the operation of the public prosecutor (provision of organic positions of prosecutors) and the exercise of remedies“.
