From November 22, 2023, the 156 students of the Kozani Artistic High School are not fed, even though they are entitled to it and their parents are forced to supply them with the necessary food. Now, and by decision of the Municipal Committee of the Municipality of Kozani, the feeding tender of approximately 125,000 euros has been terminated due to the imminent end of the School Year and the long period of time that has elapsed since the initial bids were submitted.
We remind you that the Unified Authority for Public Contracts had accepted the pre-trial appeal of a catering company and canceled the decision of the Economic Commission that had appointed a contractor with an offer of approximately 50,000 after a discount of around 60%. The explanations given by the company covered the Tender Committee , but not the Municipal Committee due to the unusually low bid that stopped the tender.
The result of the conflict between the two catering companies is that the students are left without food without any other solution being found.
