Two elderly women had lost everything they had and didn’t have on the same day, April 12, when their homes in Larisa two fraudsters who claimed to be PPC technicians and convinced them that there was a risk of fire due to a fault in the network.

As ascertained from the preliminary investigation carried out by the Security Police, the perpetrators arrived in a car. car to an elderly woman’s house, where one of them introduced himself to her as an employee of D.E.H. and persuaded her to put her money and valuables in a pillowcase, supposedly so they wouldn’t be destroyed if a fire broke out during the work she was supposed to be doing. He then grabbed the pillow case in which the unsuspecting woman had put 4,000 euros and various jewelry and fled in the vehicle in which his accomplice was waiting for him.

The “monkey” electricians were identified and it was found that, a little earlier on the same day, they had extorted 100 euros and various jewelry from another elderly woman under the same pretext.
