The mayor of Lipson, Fotis Mangosreleased a song, together with rapper “Michalara”about his island.
The mayor took his guitar and united, as he himself said, his two great loves: singing and Leipsos.
“Come with me to Leipsos” is the title of the song that invites you, with its love verse and its sonorous melody, to travel with us with a beacon of strong emotions that will surely cause you” pointed out Mr. Mangos.
He himself, in an interview with the TV station Action24, explained that “this result came out because I love two things very muchmy song and my island”.
He informed that he met with “Michalaras” a few years ago, when he had gone on vacation to the island, and since then he had been trying to convince him to “make something for the people of Leipsos, let’s do an original marriage of rap and island”.
Asked about his guitar skills, he explained that he has taught himself to play for 15 years. “I have a problem with singing.”
As for the comments that he receives for his creation, people, he said, appear enthusiastic as they feel that “it is something of ours”.
He explained that the excitement does not arise only from the result, “but because it is identified with the island”.
