--

The Deputy Mayor of Child Care & Family Structures, Christina Asvesta, invites you to the action on the theme: “Early intervention: Assessment of infants and toddlers aged 0-5 years” organized by the Continuation of Operation of the Child and Family Support Structure “Children’s Umbrella” of the Municipality of Pavlos Melas and the Deputy Mayor, on Wednesday May 15, 2024 during the hours of 12:00-17:00, at the headquarters of the structure, Pavlou Mela 4, in Efkarpia.

Make an appointment from Monday, April 22 to Tuesday, May 14, at 12:30-7:30 p.m., by calling 2310 688439 and 2310681988.

The Physiotherapist of the “Children’s Umbrella” structure Ms. Artemis Kouniou and the Dietitian-Nutritionist of the “Children’s Umbrella” structure Ms. Eleni Alexandridou will perform free Assessment of Development (motor milestones) and Growth (weight-height-growth curves) of infants and toddlers, focusing on prevention and information on children’s health.

The earlier a child begins a therapeutic intervention, the more likely they are to develop normal movement patterns.

Early intervention is very important in dealing with developmental disorders. Through the counseling and education of the parents as well as the modification of the environment, which are the first stages of early intervention, the appropriate sensory stimuli are given to the newborn.

Nutrition in infancy and childhood is a cornerstone, not only for the proper and healthy development of the child, but also for his health in adulthood.
