Receivers of tourist complaints become several tour guides in Heraklion as tourists who visit the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion after 4 pm, face closed doors.

Apparently, they don’t know the opening hourspublic holiday in this period is until 3:30 in the afternoon and not until 8:00 in the evening, as stated by various publications where they have their hands.

As we have been informed, the Archaeological Museum closes earlier due to the lack of staff, a problem which does not seem to be remedied even within the month.

As a result, dissatisfaction prevails among a portion of tourists who find out about it at the last minute, with them leaving… in a hurry from the antiquities of Knossos in order to have time to visit the Museumbefore it closes at noon, while apparently they don’t have enough time left for a walk and shopping in the historic center of Heraklion.

It would be good the authorities to proceed with a better planning in relation to the personnel recruitment procedures so that these unpleasant situations with… closed doors day – noon at the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion could have been avoided.
