Protest performance against Greece’s involvement in the war and the ongoing slaughter of the Palestinian people

A protest performance, in the context of the Hellenic Day of Action of the Hellenic Committee for International Recession and Peace (EEDYE), was held by Messinia Peace Committee (member of EEDYE)on Saturday April 20, 2024 in Kalamata.

As noted in the Commission’s announcement, “the unacceptable agreement with the murderous state of Israel, which makes the airport an international training center for NATO pilots, is in force at Messina airport and at the same time “upgrades” Messina and Kalamata to a war target in the event of a generalization of the war. That is why it is necessary to strengthen even more the popular struggle against these plans and the further involvement of our country. Let our people’s opposition to this anti-popular policy be expressed even more strongly, a side of which is Greece’s involvement in the US-NATO plans”.

At the beginning of the event, a speech was made by Argyris Smyrnis, captain of the Royal Navy, member of the Peace Committee. This was followed by an intervention in the main streets of the city, where an announcement from the Peace Committee was shared.
