Wednesday, April 17, 2024, was a creative and highly productive day, a day of dealing with nature and greenery! And luckily at our school we have enough!

First, in the morning, Mr. Ioannis Psaltis, president of the “Friends of Greenery” Association, visited our school in order to inform and inform the students about plants and their life cycle. In an experiential way, he showed the children how to plant a plant in a pot and each child created their own.

Then, the 2nd grade got involved in the school’s vegetable garden and planted tomato, cucumber, melon and pepper plants. The students of the 1st and 3rd grades took care of two flower beds in our yard and planted plants and flowers. And the 4th grade dug holes and planted two latanias in the upper part of the yard, near the entrance.

We would like to express our warm thanks to Mr. Ioannis Psaltis for his willingness to visit our school and teach the children such useful things, as well as for providing all the materials for the lesson!

Also, we thank Mr. Francis Albertis and the “Michelis” nursery for the free availability of the plants that the children planted in the vegetable garden!

We sincerely thank the ladies of the Parents’ Association, Nicoleta Tsagani and Georgia Albertis, as well as Mr. Yiannis, for their help in the vegetable garden.

We thank Mr. Manthos Delatola who is always close to us and offers us his help generously.

Finally, we would like to thank Mr. Antonis Prelorenzo, who cleaned the grass from the corridor behind the building and the road leading to the yard.

You can see moments from our day in the following presentation.
