In an atmosphere of emotion, the transfer of the bones of Lieutenant General Ioannis Zozonakis, the first mayor of Krousonas, to his last residence took place yesterday Sunday.

In the morning, a trisayo was celebrated by the Archbishop, Mr. Eugene in the church of Agios Titos in the presence of the regional governor of Crete Stavros Arnautakis, the mayor of Minos Vassilis Kegeroglou, army officers, institutional representatives, the g.g. of the Municipality of Maria Skrafnakis, relatives and friends of the Zozonakis family.

The bones arrived from the Heraklion cemetery to Agios Titos in a special package with the Greek flag accompanied by an Army Badge. Then, after Trisagio, they were taken in a procession to the cemetery of the Apostles of Pediados where they were deposited in the family tomb, where the bones of the chieftain of Crete Vassiliou Karouzakis, a relative of the family, are located.
