Today begins the Devotional Week in the municipality of Thessaloniki

O Municipality of Thessalonikiwith the support of the Directorate of Culture and Tourism and after many years, organizes the “Adoration Week”an institution of the municipality of Thessaloniki, with a history of more than two decades, which returns renewed and enriched, one week before Holy Weekfrom 20 to 27 April 2024with free admission for the public.

THE opening event of the Devotional Week will be held at the Holy Church of Agios Dimitrios (Poliouchos of Thessaloniki) on Saturday, April 20, at 7:30 p.m. With the title “Which chants do I sing” Psaltic Journey of the Immaculate Passions the public will have the pleasure of enjoying His Holiness the Metropolitan of Thessaloniki, Mr. Philotheo, singing together with priests of the Holy Metropolis of Thessaloniki. The Byzantine Dance of Chanters of the Pilgrimage Church of Agios Dimitrios-Poliouchos of Thessaloniki also participates in the event.
