When do the holiday hours start, what applies on M. Week

Time is counting down for the festive hours which will be applied in the shops for Easter, while during it Holy Week there will be some changes.

In more detail, on Thursday, April 25, the festive hours begin, with shops operating from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Also, the Sunday, April 28 the association’s shops are proposed to operate from 11 am to 4 pm.

However, for Holy Week the schedule is not specific, on the contrary it is at the discretion of each employer, as long as he follows the necessary recommendations.

Specifically, continuous hours are proposed from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., on Good Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Holy Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 in the afternoon.

On Easter Sunday, Monday and Tuesday the shops will be closed.

The festive hours of the Trade Association of Patras

As announced by Commercial Association of Patras the stores will operate as follows:

  • Palm Sunday 28/04/2024: 11.00 – 18.00
  • Holy Monday 29/04/2024: 9.00 – 14.00 and 17.30 – 21.00
  • Holy Tuesday 30/04/2024: 9.00 – 14.00 and 17.30 – 21.00
  • Holy Wednesday 01/05/2024: 9.00 – 14.00 and 17.30 – 21.00
  • Maundy Thursday 02/05/2024: 09.00 – 21.00
  • Good Friday 03/05/2024: 13.00 – 19.00
  • Holy Saturday 04/05/2024: 09.00 – 15.00
  • Easter Sunday 05/05/2024: Holiday
  • Monday 06/05/2024: Holiday
  • Tuesday 07/05/2024: Holiday (due to the transfer of the May Day holiday).

Especially on Good Friday 03/05/2024, in accordance with the provisions of article 3 of Law 435/76, the operation of commercial stores and the employment of employees before 13.00 are prohibited.
