Workers, young men and women,
We all have a place in the fight against our country’s involvement in war, for our real needs for work with rights, for free and universal access to education, health, culture, sports, for the people to become homemakers, to come into focus in his place.
We now require:
- Immediately stop Greece’s participation and involvement in the imperialist war in Ukraine.
- No involvement, no participation of Greece in US-NATO-EU military operations!
- Let the frigate turn back now, no Greek officer, non-commissioned officer, sailor, soldier in foreign waters and lands!
- End the carnage in Gaza and Israel’s occupation of the Palestinian territories now!
- Close all US-NATO bases and infrastructures!
75 years since the founding of the NATO war machine, the fight against politics that bleeds peoples continues. The decisions of the staffs of the EU, NATO, and member states, the declarations of “war invitations” of the governments, show that the imperialists will stop at nothing to divide their zones of influence, the roads through which goods and energy pass:
- EU countries are financing Ukraine with an extra 50 billion, sending ammunition and military equipment non-stop, and investing billions in Europe’s so-called defense industry, which, according to the president of the European Council, has become a “war economy”.
- The Greek Frigate HYDRA is in the Red Sea, as part of the EU’s “Aspides” operation, protecting not the Greek borders, but the economic interests of shipowners in the region, while the country’s Defense Minister wishes… “good luck!” since he recognizes that “participation in the business involves risks”.
- The slaughter of the Palestinian people has been going on for five months with the support of the US, EU and NATO.
The further involvement of NATO in the war in Ukraine, which threatens to become general, the hot spots of war in the Middle East and the involvement of Greece on all these fronts, not only with the provision of bases, but even with the dispatch of war material and parts of the Armed Forces, have absolutely nothing to do with the security and defense of the country, as the government and Euro-Atlantic parties claim. On the contrary, they portend even greater dangers.
The balanced attitude of the government and the other bourgeois parties reflects their deep agreement for even greater involvement in the war and in the US-NATO plans, for the interests of the bourgeoisie, at the expense of the people.
Every vote for these parties in the European elections, they will use as approval or tolerance of the people in their dangerous policy. As a green light to continue “jointly” entangling the country in the war, turning the people into a target of the imperialist camps that oppose NATO.
That is why it is necessary to strengthen even more the popular struggle against these plans and the further involvement of our country. Let our people’s opposition to this anti-popular policy be expressed even more strongly, part of which is Greece’s involvement in the US-NATO plans.
Here and now for the government to withdraw its support for the killer state of Israel, for the country to disengage from the imperialist wars, for the US-NATO bases and infrastructures to be closed, for the “Hydra” frigate to return from the Red Sea.
Organizing the anti-imperialist struggle, expressing solidarity with neighboring peoples and counterattacking the politics of profit, to overthrow the rotten system that breeds wars and exploitation.
