The Authorities may be close to solving the case with the body that was found in the area of Karteros a few days ago.

Under the microscope is the case of a 33-year-old missing person from the northern suburbs of Athens. Information states that on Friday, following a relevant document from the Search Department of Attica Security, a DNA sample from a bone of Karteros’ corpse was sent to be compared with a genetic sample allegedly provided by a relative of the missing young man.

According to the Authorities, the case of the 33-year-old who disappeared months ago from the Athens area has some common elements with the case of the body of the unknown man found at sea.

Time of disappearance, age, height, body type and some other characteristics match. In any case, this possibility should be investigated so that the family of the 33-year-old missing person knows what is happening and what to expect.

The body was carefully examined by the Forensic Unit of PAGNI, while a CT scan was also performed.

Estimates are that: the man is under 40 years old, possibly Caucasian, with black hair and a beard. He had a height of 1.75 to 1.76 and was quite thin, slender. This is also evident from the extra small size of his pants. The unfortunate man was wearing ankle boots, checked trousers, a t-shirt, a gray shirt and a sweatshirt.

His dentures were in good condition, while the CT scan showed no skeletal injuries. In general it appears that he was a man of good standing and from the companies of his clothing it appears that he lived in Greece. It is estimated that the body was at sea for at least three months.
