Weather: “Cocktail” of African dust and high temperatures in the country from tomorrow

The atmosphere is expected to be stifling in most of the country tomorrow, Monday, April 22, however, both high temperatures and African dust return to the forecast data.

The weather conditions of the next few days favor it transport of African dust with increased concentrations in the atmosphere until Wednesday, while on Thursday the situation is expected to improve as rains are expected.

The particles that make up African dust can be inhaled into the lungs and bloodstream, possibly causing asthma attacks in people with asthma and other respiratory conditions. Experts recommend wearing a maskespecially for people with respiratory problems and allergies.

Sparse clouds, occasionally thicker, local rains, a rise in temperature and stronger winds, make up the weather scenario for tomorrow, Monday, April 22, according to the National Meteorological Service (EMY).

Visibility in the morning hours in the western continental areas will be locally limited, while east southeast winds will gradually prevail with enhanced intensities in the southern country locally at 6 to 7 and gradually at sea up to 8 Beaufort.

The temperature, according to the EMY weather forecast, will rise mainly in the west and south. It will reach 20 to 22 degrees in the north, 23 to 25 in the rest of the continent and 26 to 28 degrees Celsius in Crete.

Attica

Weather: Scattered clouds, occasionally thicker. A few localized showers of short duration are expected in the morning and evening hours.
Winds: Variable 3 to 4 and from the morning hours east southeast, gradually to 5 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 14 to 23 degrees Celsius.

Thessaloniki

Weather: Thin clouds that will gradually thicken. Local rains will occur from the evening.
Winds: Northwest 3 to 4, in the morning until 5 and from the afternoon southeast.
